The Commonwealth Games

When the Queen's baton was carried through Milngavie on the outskirts of Glasgow, there was great excitement. Very soon, the Games will start. Fortunately, the weather remained dry - it only started raining as the baton bearer ran on,

It was a privilege to see it carried only five minutes walk from where I live.

We are also privileged here to have our very own independent bookshop. This is Katie, mingling with the crowds, advertising the Milngavie Bookshop, where she works when she's not attending University. We hope it will be here for many years to come.
